Scott A. Chaplan is an expert in real estate development, acquisitions and dispositions, financing, construction and related litigation. Additionally, Mr. Chaplan’s practice areas include business formation, dissolution, tax-exempt and charitable organizations and entertainment law. Born in Los Angeles, California in 1964, Mr. Chaplan was admitted to the bar in California in 1991. He attended his B.S. degree from the University of Southern California where he studied success and accounting and earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University, where he was a member of the Pepperdine Law Review, 1989-1991 and Phi Alpha Delta. Presently, Mr. Chaplan is a an adjunct professor on Pepperdine’s faculty where he teaches entrepreneurship and serves on the advisory board of the Schools Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology Law.

Richard J. Greene is a 1975 graduate, with honors, of Southwestern University School of Law, located in Los Angeles, California. Greene & Chaplan, LLP is the successor in interest to numerous law firms in which he was the sole principal or a partner, dating back to the early 1980s.
Mr. Greene’s experience encompasses a wide variety of banking finance, business litigation, business transactions, real estate, family offices representation estate planning, intellectual property and corporate matters regarding both for-profit and non-profit corporate entities, with special emphasis on faith based non-profit corporate entities.
Ray Kermani is a seasoned trial lawyer who consistently obtains favorable verdicts and settlements for his clients. His practice currently focuses on catastrophic personal injury. He is licensed to practice in numerous states across the country and has recovered over $80 Million in judgments and settlements for his clients. He has been selected as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” since 2017, an honor awarded to the top 2.5 percent of lawyers in the Southern California area under 40 years of age, and recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as one of the top 40 lawyers under the age of 40.
Ray has tried cases involving motor vehicle collisions, catastrophic premises liability cases, defective consumer and industrial products, employment law, and complex landlord-tenant disputes.
Mr. Kermani is a graduate of the UCLA School of Law and a former judicial extern for the Honorable Gil Freeman of the 9th Judicial District in Florida. Ray is proud of his public service record and his active involvement with important public interest programs, including clerkships and volunteer services with the Los Angeles City Attorneys’ Office, the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, the Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles, El Centro De Pueblo and Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office. Ray also serves on the board of directors and manages the legal department of Casa Soledad, a non-profit organization that provides social welfare services to the community.
Mohamad Ahmad is a founding partner of Kermani LLP, a graduate of the UCLA School of Law, and a former judicial extern to the Honorable Dale Fischer of the Central District of California. As a first-year law student Mohamad was ranked in the top 7% of his class. Over the past decade, Mohamad has litigated numerous multi-million dollar cases across the country, including in the state and federal courts of California, Georgia, Texas, Nevada, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Mississippi.
Mohamad’s practice currently focuses primarily on catastrophic personal injury litigation. In 2019, Mohamad served as co-counsel against a nationwide retailer for the wrongful death of a child, and secured a $7.5 Million settlement for his clients, which is believed to be the largest wrongful death award for a child in Georgia’s history. In the same month, Mohamad obtained a $4.49 Million settlement for his clients in a business dispute on the eve of Plaintiff’s MSJ hearing.
